For the sixth consecutive year the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale has risen to new heights with the average sale price increasing by 16% from last year to a record $97,003 while the median is up 23% to a record $80,000.

Supreme Thoroughbreds sold 9 yearlings in P1 of this sale for an average sale price of $123,000  - almost 27% above the sale average.

Supreme’s top 3 sales were all the product of Supreme selected matings and were born and bred at Supreme.  These three were a standout Carlton Show x Foxwedge 13 filly that made $340,000; a Fastnet Rock filly out of Supreme’s foundation mare Snow Hero that made $225,000; and a Medaglia d’Oro colt out of Bella Brocco that caught Gai Waterhouses’ eye for $140,000.

At $340,000 the Foxwedge filly achieved an equal third top price for the sale when she was snapped up by C Roscoe / J Ramsden, one of the biggest training outfits in South Africa.  The other yearling that sold for $340,000 was a Choisir colt sold by Eliza Park to James Harron Bloodstock/ Snowden Racing.

Fastnet Rock lead the sires by average (3 or more sold) with $187,083 across 12 yearlings, followed by Street Cry, Redoute’s Choice and Northern Meteor.  Supreme’s Fastnet Rock filly sold for more that 20% above the average sale price for this sire for both fillies and colts.
